Question

Cannot connect to Mathcad license

Hello,

I purchased an upgrade to Mathcad 14.0 some years ago (2013, personal purchase, not a company). I installed the software on my PC at the time. In about 2017 I purchased a new PC and never installed Mathcad on it as I did not need it then.

I now live at a different address, have a different landline phone number and a different PC (compared to 2013). I have just tried to install Mathcad 14.0 and the software installed OK, but it cannot connect to the license. I have reset my password and have been able to log onto the PTC site to send this message, but I cannot get Mathcad working.

Can you advise on how I can resolve this issue?

Regards,
KH.

License files are tied to your computer NIC card address. You will need to contact PTC License Support to obtain a new license for your new computer.

In addition to Ben's info, you should know this:

https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad-Tips/Official-PTC-Mathcad-15-and-Prime-1-6-End-of-Sale-Announcement/ta-p/818870

Note that support for Mathcad 14 and all versions before that has also stopped.

You have to contact PTC support (that's NOT this forum) to see if they can help you.

Success!
