How do I migrate a license to another server?

We are retiring our Windows Server 2012.  I have the license manager setup on the new server but need a new license file. Where do I go to request a new license file for that server and Host ID?

If you can figure out what the next step is, good luck.

Moving licenses between servers should not be as hard as it is.

You will need to register your new server under Hardware Assets.

 

I have moved licenses many times over my 20 years of using PTC products, but they have hidden the move option very well.
