Invalid license or format

I am trying to install PTC Creo 7.0 Schools edition onto my laptop
I downloaded all the software and ran the set up program
It states on the instructions enter BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12 into the simple license entry
I have done this and although it comes back success, in the license summary it states invalid file or format and won't let me contnue.

Can you help with this please?

The license is BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12

Thank you for sharing snapshot of error.
I was hoping to receive license file i.e. "BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12_license.dat". Could you share the same? Or check whether the host Id mentioned in license file is matching with your machine's host Id: D4-D2-52-4A-59-34.

License wouldn't open in notepad.

I have given up trying for now

The issue seems related to incorrect host Id in the license file. If you you could have shared license file, I could have further suggested if anything was required.

If the issue is not with host Id then, there could be license file corruption.
