I just bought Mathcad prime 5.0 today but application selection does not work.

Who did you buy MathCAD Prime 5 from today?

PTC stopped selling all versions of MathCAD and MathCAD Prime prior to release 7 at the end of 2021.

You can only buy MathCAD Prime 7 and 8 by subscription today.
