Perpetual Student License File

I bought a perpetual student license for Mathcad Prime 5.0 but I am having trouble activating it on a new machine.
It seems that all old Prime versions got a free upgrade to 7.0 and I downloaded it but cannot activate my license (get a license file).

I have an old license file that doesn't work because of the host id but when I try to get a new file here https://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_supportCenterSingleUser.htm
I get this message: "The trial program you are requesting is no longer available. Please visit the software product page on www.ptc.com to explore our latest versions."

When I enter the product code into the installed license assistant, it fails to activate with the message: "Program ID already expired".

I have sent tickets and emails in every way I cound find (months ago) and never got an answer.

An end of sale should not mean that I am unable to use a perpetual license.

This user apparently got a new license for Prime 4

Have you read the FAQ too? https://www.mathcad.com/en/-/media/files/pdfs/mathcad/end-of-sale-mathcad-faq-en.pdf

There may be a difference between 'a perpetual license and active maintenance' <=> 'a perpetual license' (and no active maintenance).

But in any case, you should contact PTC support to find out if they can help you transfer the license to your new machine.

Success!
