Reading data from MCD File

I need to get data out of an MCD file. PTC MathCad Express Prime 8 cannot open MCD files, so I was trying to convert it into an MCDX file first. When I try to use the "XMCD, MCD Converter", I get an error saying "Unexpected error encountered during conversion". How do I resolve this?

If the issue is related to a Mathcad version prior 15, then the worksheet needs to get opend+saved in Mathcad 15.

Once you receive the worksheet in Mathcad 15 format, try conversion again.

 

If this is not the case or the error still occurs then the converter is not able to do it, for a specific reason (Even a single region?)

Was a log file created during conversion? please share.

 

Example:

Worksheets from old versions (Mathcad 11) having "empty regions" do not allow to save it in Mathcad 15 to xmcd format AND make the conversion fail.

 

If above does not work, then please file a new case to PTC Support asking for a content check +fix if possible.
