IoT Gateway service stopping

I am trying to follow the sample setup from PTC and am having difficulty in that the IoT Gateway starts, finds the JRE

"KEPServerEX\IoT Gateway IoT Gateway using JRE at [C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_191]"

 

Then the IOT Gateway service stops.  Why?  How do I determine the cause of this?  The Custom Controls Advisor cannot be used due to connectivity issues.  Thanks,

Hi @JMartinCrane,

 

In trial edition (without license) KepServerEx, IoT Gateway service works for 2 hours and after that it stops by itself.

 

To fix the problem you need to navigate to the KEPServer Icon on the bottom right hand corner, right clicking and selecting "Stop RunTime Service" and then right clicking and selecting "Start Runtime Service".

This will again start service for 2 hours.

for the IoT Gateway you need the JRE 32 Bit version on your system.
