MES and OPC integration layer

Hi All,

I'm a beginner on Thingworx apps and I would like to understand it there is a way to create an integration between MES system and PLC (OPC) using kepware/thingworx. The idea is to read data form MES (es. SQL query) elaborate the data and then write result in a PLC tag (OPC). 

In the same way I would like to understand if there is the possibility to read data from PLC and send it to MES sistem via Restfull API calls. So my idea is not to create something relate to Analytics or enable AI, but a real-time system that work as integration layer beetween MES and PLC (in both directions). Is there the possibility to build something like that usign Kepware+Thingworks?
