Hi.

Using the Express installer and running it as per the Tutorial Videos
It becomes "PostageSQL Configuration failed" in Configuration. We keep port number as default and password as Thingworx password. I want to investigate the cause of failed. What should I investigate?

Do you already have Tomcat installed in your system? You may go to your system Services and check for the tomcat service.

Also please check that the needed ports are open and not in use.

Looking at the Failed image, postgres install is failing. It is likely because of insufficient RAM or processor/core. Are you installing VM? If so can you assign more memory and possibly another core?

Thanks,

Hi Takashi,

Yes, there is a separate post that addresses this issue: Why has the installer stopped during the PostgreSQL install step?

You should find the suggested method of increasing the available RAM and/or cores solves this problem. Please confirm whether this or Polina's suggestion above works for you.

Thank you for reply.

Since Tomcat is installed and memory requirements are not problematic,
I deleted ManufacturingApps once.
Related article: I'm looking for uninstall.exe (for uninstallation).

After uninstalling, turn off the service of Tomcat,
Installation was succeeded by running setup.exe again.
The difference from last time is only Tomcat service OFF.

Everyone, thank you for the advice.

Best regards,

takashi
