HI guys, I'm finding it very hard to find cad models for deutsch DT-series connectors. There are a few sites where people have modelled a few, but very rarely do I find ones I need, and keep in mind the connectors I'm using a very common. Does anyone know of a good CAD library that has this sort of stuff? I don't mind paying for a subscription. Cheers,
The goal of this request is to obtain regeneration time in trail.txt to build a program (on our side) to collect all regeneration time on all Large user computer. So we need the regeneration time to be recorded in a file. Currently we do not have any method to record the regeneration time automatically in trail.txt (or in any other text file). There is one manyal method: config.pro named "clock" but it doesn't serve the purpose of recording in text file. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. In the old ProE environment it was possible to use the variable "HOME" to set the the path for the login-ID. In this way ist was possible to make a configuration for the users in this folder. With the start of ProE were this configuration used to create the interface. For the new UI-File this configuration is not possible. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi,I would like to get the line style of 2d entity inside a sketch what are all the possible API's available to get the line style, whether it isPRO_LINESTYLE_SOLID PRO_LINESTYLE_DOT or whateverExisting API's are not stable ProCurvePersistentLinestyleGet Please tell us a alternate API to get the line type. Thanks in advance,Regards,
Hi All,When we access the sketch geometry of a flat geometry it is not coming correct, sketch coordinate gives random value. sketch is not updated correctly. when we open the sketch manually and running the program again it comes correct. Any one can suggest what API is required to correct the situation without physically opening and correcting the model. Thanks,Joseph
Power connections are usually bolt type connections. This kind of connection make wires come normal to Z axys. Usually, the same component can be wired from different sides depending the unit it is mounted to. Or can be wired from different sides on the same unit. This makes that you should create as much CSYS (ports) as directions you think you will come from. Every CSYS with a different name. But when you work with RSD an export logical informatio to Creo you usually only have one port name. To have as much ports as directions on RSD would not be reliable. An entry_port that could allow connecting cables 360º around the Z axys (or angle adjustable?) would solve this. A property for entry_ports could be added to be able to chose wich kind of connection allows that port. Example of a real connections:
Its sort of obvious to most of us that line wight can help clarify, particualrly on high resolution displays and with the new Creo light ground default display. Its the equivalent of bold v plain text. Just about every CAD package I have used, other than ProE / Creo has had the ability to vary line weights on screen, even my $60 copy of TurboCAD Mac has it. Just about every technical drawing system in existence uses different line thicknesses for enhanced clarity, technical pens used to be in multiple thicknesses. Why does PTC, twenty plus years into their CAD development not allow users to alter line weight attributes in sketches? I put in an enhancement request when it was Proe 2000, lots has moved on, but this hasn't. Am I alone in wanting this?

When I draft surface its ID is changed after this. What does happen after this? Every operation that I do whith drafted surface now depends on this new surface ID. If I delete draft operation in history automatically some children operation is deleleted. For me it can be prevented by ID conservation. I understand that compatibility with previos versions can be compromised so my proposal is to introduce it as switch option in configuration or manage it directly with kernel. In this way only user mange it. It could be a good thing to keep the same algorythm for all geometry. Another problem is , after removing from extrude sketch of some segment (arc, line ...) Draft feature (that include surface created with deleted segment) disappear. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. This function is complicated to apply. This function is complicated to apply to solids with big amount of surfaces. It is better to do accent on direct surface selecting. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. If you have lost your licence due to a longer break, such as lunch, 2h-meeting,... you only have the possibility to "Retry", "Save" or "Exit"-ProE/Creo. Retry only tries to pick a new licence of the batch that you have picked during program start up. If during the meantime all licences of this package are under use of colleagues, why isn't it possible to chose a different licence package, if company has some? So I mean to change the "Retry" into a "Renew". I mean, the software knows the different available licences during startup process and the software can know the licence package information. So in a very comfortable version, Creo can propose to chose between the packages, with all necessary licences including. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Provide an uninstaller where I can uninstall multiple or all Creo apps from one release. Currently you have to uninstall each app separately in the Windows Control Panel. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Currently you have to select the languages you want to install for each Creo app separately. This is annoying because I want to have the same languages for each app anyway. If a special language does not exist for an app then just skip it but don't let me select the same languages 5 times over. This not following the Creo paradigm of having less mouse clicks This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. PROBLEM: RSD does not support using single wire throug multiple ports (i.e. parlallel connection). USE CASE: This type of connection is typical when dealing with systems with large currents. Typical example is having a single uncoated wire with say 10 mm diameter, which is connected through several capasitors/batteries/etc ports. For each port the connection is made with screw-clamp joint, so conductor will not be cut at port. Second example is a bus bar - which is made say 10x50 cross section copper bar. Then all devices are bolted to busbar without cutting the conductor. (see case image below) SUGGESTED SOLUTION IDEA - PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: New countinius conductor fibretype for RSD with caebability to have multiple ports as refrence By adding a "waypoint" feature with "flexible wire"- object to RSD one could keep current point-to-point connection definition. Additional control of routing of fibre location on shemantics enhance readability Use of "waypoint"
The default font is 3D Font in sketcher text. Can we have the ability to set the default font?
hi, i just installed creo 1.0 and its having many problems with the planes because when i try to make any line, any geometric figure it gets a very weird shape. for example, i try to sketch a cricle but it doesnt make a circle it makes kind of a square-circle(very weird figure). i need some help please. sorry for my bada english if it is( i speak spanish)...oh ill show you my problem
Hi All, Does anyone has a comparison matrix between RSD 8.0/9.0 and Creo Schematics 1.0/2.0? Thanks, Sun
I'd like to use the symmetry constraint for more than just vertices; I'd like to use lines as well. The two vertices in the attached image are not the same length, therefore I cannot choose the vertices I've pointed out in red. But if I could choose the LINES themselves, I could use the vertical symmetry I'm looking for that would replace the 109 dimension.
I'd like to be able to change colors of dimensions based on whether they are governed by a parameter or relation. This occurs automatically in other 3D softwares that I have used. As a matter of fact, it occurs in all I've used except Pro E. More overall color control of dimensions would be greatly appreciated.
There are two very useful options in the Sketcher Diagnostics Tool, which can save you a lot of trouble: "Shade Closed Loops" and "Highlight Open Ends" config.pro options would be very useful to activate the two options. Today we do it via a mapkey during startup, which opens a sketch and clicks both options on, very nonprofessional. My proposal: sketcher_diagnostics_shade_closed_loops yes/no sketcher_diagnostics_highlight_open_ends yes/no
Many companies I have worked for use a zone drawing view symbol. This symbol displays the sheet and zone of the drawing where a views child or parent is located. Unfortunately the information is typed into the symbol manually because the pos_loc parameter includes both the x and y location together. For example, Sheet 2, Zone 4C. Looking at the standard zone callout symbol one can see that the blocks for the rows and columns of the drawing zones are above and below each other. So, since this is the standard I am proposing that the pos_loc be split int pos_loc_x and pos_loc_y so that the column can be in one block and the row will be in the other.
1) Currently, for a "*.asm" file, when we do a File--> Save a Copy to "*.dwg" format for a half-section view of an 'ellipse', it converts the ellipse to poly-lines. 2) The result remains same whether we open this "*.dwg" file in AutoCAD or Pro/E. When we do the same for a full-section view of an ellipse, it exports successfully as an 'ellipse' without any issues.
It would be nice if it were possible to create a dwf(x) file directly from Pro/Engineer 2D drawings on 64bit OS systems. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. If I have failures in sketcher and I want to delete all of the missing references for instance, it would be nice to sort on all of the references to filter just the missing ones.
