Other Creo Products (Sketch/Layout/Schematics and Creo Direct)

Allow spaces in filenames.  Yeah, it's simple.  Make PTC software save files like every other software on the planet.

In general, we save a copy the file, just want to modify the saved a copy file and keep the original file. So PTC neeed change the save a copy behavior the same as the other software, for example Microsoft office and 3-rd 3D CAD Solidworks, after save a copy the file,  open the saved a copy file in session automatically.

Now launch Creo parametric, creo direct, creo schematics, creo Illustrate, creo view only via separate shortcuts. Unable to launch other application from existing launching application, I think PTC should provide the ability to switch between all the applications "on the fly", for example, switch from Creo Parametric to Creo Direct ,Creo View MCAD or Creo Illustrate, just like CATIA style. Or can launch other applications from one existing application.

Looking to a way to indicate the location of the other end of fibers using cross sheet graphics that does not use the row/column text.  Some uses of our designs do not keep the border with the rows and columns shown.   I am looking to use something like P21-A SHEET 2 or K12 P21-A SHEET 2We use a hybrid design system where K12 is the parent of connector P21 and A is the port id within P21. We require that the designers NOT duplicate the connector numbers, so just using that and the port will identify the connection location but adding in the component would make it easier for the user to find it on the design.

I'm working in creo schematic 2.0, m020.  How do I get the fiber labels to move with the fibers?currently when I move a fiber the label stays in the old location and doesn't move with the fiber.thank you

i have solid model, i need to select some curved edges in the model and convert in to a entities, i mean like a sketch.  so i can use for a sweep.   thanks in advance.

We have multiple versions of cross sheet graphics and sometimes a wrong one has been placed.  Is it possible to change one that has been placed without removing the connection and starting over?

With no fanfare or warning (or even a note on the help page), exporting a design sheet will save your design. If you erase parts that you do not want exported, this will erase them from your design PERMANENTLY.   At a minimum, the program should warn you and let you stop the process before it destroys design information. A better solution should be to give the user a choice to save or not to save.

Hello,     Since we were using Palo Alto VPN service and windows for connecting to company's servers when  working outside the company and it was working ok   Now we started using Windows with Direct Access to remotely connect to the company server. Now the files on the server can be seen normally, but the Creo cannot connect to the license. The output is that Creo does not start.   When contacting support in our country, they said, that Direct Access is working on IPV6 protocol, which is not supported in current version of Creo 2.0 M120.   Please fix this!!!!

Sample Code:   I'm looking for some sample code written in JAVA 1.7 to interface to schematics. I want to update a parameter on an artifact that I have in the schematics using JAVA. There are really no examples to follow. I would be happy with the standard "Hello World" code just to see if I could get the code to work through the gateway interface.

Extract from tutorial : About Autorouting In order to automatically route cables or wires without manually choosing From and To entry ports, you must establish a logical reference. The reference can be to an XML file that is exported from PTC Creo Schematics, a Diagram file or a wire list text file in a supported format.   Does this mean that is it possible to autoroute wires in CreoParametric using logical data from CreoDiagram? I'd greatly appreciate an answer, thank you!

I have a model in Creo 4.0 (academic edition) with an image pasted onto a filled sketch. The image is visible when modelling and when shaded with reflections is enabled and when ambient occlusion and scene background is selected.  The screen grab below shows the image (green plant) is displayed. As soon as I enter Applications > Render studio, the plant image disappears.  I've tried all of the lighting presets in Real-time settings. Thanks

Dear PTC, Don't use single letter as mapkeys,please.Even since CREO4.0,by default ,a letter is used as a mapkey ,such as,in Parametric ,your use X as the mapkey for Extrude .Because you used "X" and ranked the first ,so I can't use  a combination of X prefixes,for example, "XA" or "XX". When I press down "X" ,creo4 running the "X" program ,not running the "XA" or  "XX" .And ,you can only fitting 26 (from a to z) mapkeys .If you can use 2 letters as mapkeys ,A lot of combinations ! Like me ,I use "cs"  as the mapkey for Extrude ,WHY? Goodmorning to everyone. I am a beginner about Creo. I have a trial version about Creo Illustrate with a license that is expiring this evening 15/12/2017. I have only one question: Is it possible to make any object movements (for example a robot rotation) with some links between two or more parts? Because my aim is to make some video in which my robot has to make some movements.  Do I have to move every part or is there a fuction that links two objects?   Thanks for your time Best regardes.

Hi,   Recently i was watching the following great video, here: 3d view from Virtual Interconnect, and was supprise to see that creo schematic has a 3d view of a connector. What is the proces to achive it ? or it is just an import of a dwg ?   Will be happy to hear your inputs   Many thanks,

  when I enter creo sketch download for windows, i get an 404 notfound error.. help me download it...

I have installed the Creo 3 student version. But i get no dimensions in sketch mode. Someone has got a solution for my problem or is this a restriction of the student version?
