Question

How to create an ".ol" file?

We're using Creo Illustrate 2. We have several ".prt" files that we would like to convert to ".ol" files so they can be added to the Symbol Library (so they can be shown in drawings but not appear in Parts Lists). How is this done?

Obviously, ditto for ".asm" files.

Thanks in advance!

You can save files from Pro/E in ProductView format - this will typically generate a pvs and one or more ol files, depending on assembly structure.

Steve -

Yes! It worked. From Creo we did a save-as into one of the Creo-View formats that indicated pvs format, and sure enough an ol file was also created.

Many thanks,
