Is there any way to influence default backup behavior in Creo 2 Illustrate?

Our users are working with full system data and the time between backups keeps interrupting them and they would like to turn it down. I can see an option in Creo 3 but i can't see an equivalent options box in Creo 2. Is there a backdoor way i can make them happier with?
