Saving image files in TIFF format.

I am creating graphics with assorted annotations, each time I save them as image files (any type of image file, tiff, jpeg, png, etc.)  I loose the orientation of the annotations.

The file will save, but the annotations get all jumbled up, or pile up on each other.  Am I missing something?  Any ideas?
