Creo Parametric CAD Modeling Challenge For this sixth Creo Parametric CAD modeling challenge, you will be creating a detailed drawing of a complete assembly model. You need to know basic Creo Parametric drawing capabilities, along with some advanced capabilities to complete the drawing. It is a complex drawing to create and you will need to master Creo Parametric drawing annotations to complete it. HINTS Use a BOM table to identify all the components in the assembly Use BOM Balloons to identify all the components in the drawing views Use Snap Lines and Cleanup tools to organize and arrange items Use the attached FTC robot or use your own assembly Make sure you have configured Creo with the "Schools Configuration" to access formats, notes, tables, etc. Sample drawing courtesy of FRC525. Extra Credit Try using BOM Balloons with QTY Add custom parameters to your models and show them in the BOM Use detail views, cross sections and other methods to describe your model as a
Creo Parametric CAD Modeling Challenge For this fifth Creo Paramedic CAD modeling challenge, you will be creating a detailed drawing of a single part model. You need to know basic Creo Parametric drawing capabilities, along with some advanced capabilities to complete the drawing. It is a complex drawing to create and you will need to master Creo Parametric drawing annotations to complete it. HINTS Use one of the attached CAD files from FRC114 (STEP) and FRC4818 (Creo) to create your drawing Use of your own complex CAD files to create the drawing Make sure you have configured Creo with the "Schools Configuration" to access formats, notes, tables, etc. Use proper Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Sample drawing courtesy of FRC525. Extra Credit Try different dimensioning schemes; regular, ordinate or hole charts Create detail views, cross sections and other details to document your model Add tolerancing to dimensions For Creo models, try using Show Dim

Creo Parametric CAD Modeling Challenge For this fourth Creo Parametric CAD modeling challenge, you will be creating a full assembly of the robot gripper shown below. You need to know basic Creo Parametric assembly constraints, Kinematic constraints and assembly structure to complete the design. It is a complex model to create, but you will need to master Creo Parametric Pin constraints to make it work correctly. HINTS Assemble the gripper plate first and make sure it is grounded Add all the hardware at the end Create one side first to make sure it works as desired After placing the gear, add a second constraint (Slot) using the curve (blanked on layer) to control the range of motion Use a Parallel constraint for the gripper_tips to make sure it does not ground (fix) the whole model Watch a video of the mechanism motion Extra Credit Create a 1:1 gear connection to synchronize the motion Add a motor to one of the gears to simulate the full motion Create a rendered video
Creo Parametric CAD Modeling Challenge For this third Creo Parametric CAD modeling challenge, you will be creating a full assembly of the 4 bar linkage shown below. You need to know basic Creo Parametric assembly constraints, Kinematic constraints and assembly structure to complete the design. It is a fairly simple model to create, but you will need to master Creo Parametric Pin constraints to make it work correctly. HINTS Create sub-assemblies for the fixed and moving components with equally spaced linkage arm mounts Assemble the fixed sub-assembly first and make sure it is grounded Add all the hardware at the end Set limits for the first control arm to make sure the mechanism does not freely rotate through 360 degrees Use a second set of constraints to connect the moving sub-assembly to the linkage arms Watch a video of the motion Extra Credit Create a copy of the linkage arm and try different lengths
Creo Parametric CAD Modeling Challenge For this second Creo Parametric CAD modeling challenge, you will be creating a full sketch of the FIRST logo. You need to know basic Creo Parametric sketching tools for drawing and editing. It is a fairly simple sketch to create, but you will need to master Creo Parametric's Ellipse and Delete Segment commands to get it done right. HINTS Simplifying the display to remove dimensions and constraints will really help out with this one. Try using the Shift button to sketch geometry without snapping to existing geometry and references. Draw the full shapes first and then using Delete Segment to cleanup the intersections. Extra Credit Sketch the whole thing freehand, using the attached image as a reference Add the attached image to a datum plane for some quick tracing (View, Model Display, Images) Crazy Extra Credit Model all three shapes as solid parts and arrange them in an assembly!
I just downloaded and installed Creo 3 Academic and I can't seem to use the hole or pattern feature. I have some experience with SolidWorks and the overall operation seems to be very similar. Just doodling around I created a basic extrusion then tried to use hole tool. From the hole tool pane, I can't get the option to accept the hole. I then tried to use the pattern tool and it will not allow me to select a sketch to repeat or change the number of items in the pattern. Am I doing something wrong or are these features not included in Academic?
So when i try to enter my product SKU in order to install the license, I get a login window which i fill out with my matching PTC account that I am using for my school videos. After a couple seconds of it searching, I get a red Error code. I also tried using the Host ID method and received an error on that as well. Trying to install Creo 2.0
Our school has got Microsoft 2012 virtual server standard R2, and am trying to install the floating license server. Tried to install using the instructions provided: Download media 2. Start setup.exe on the server machine 3. Select Setup License 4. Accept License agreement 5. Type the product code in the field 6. Click Install Licensing - at this point I get - error 7. Click Finish then read the pdf about flexinet license In general, the process of using the HPV_UUID would follow this outline: 1. Identify the virtual machine on which the license server will be run, and download the platform-specific lmhostid utility from the Flexera Software website. 2. Run the command lmhostid -ptype HPV -uuid at the command line of the virtual machine where the license 3. Modify the license certificate to configure server parameters (like TCP port number, options file, or other 4. Launch the license server on the virtual machine by pointing to the
Hallo,I am a student from Universitaet Duisburg-Essen,I have the creo3.0 student Edition with my Uni E-Mail(name.@stud.uni-duisburg-essen.de)registert more than 6 times in one day,but I receive still no E-mail with Licensedoes someone know whyI need Creo 3.0 to do my homeworkthank you for help
hiI have a license issue with my ptc creo 2.0 student version,Could anyone please assist me .
I just downloaded Creo 3.0 and set up the license I got. It worked all fine until the point where I had to install the Creo parts.I am using a two hard-drive setup on my PC. I have a fast SSD for Windows and a normal HDD for everything else. The SSD is almost full. The problem is that Creo wants to install itself to the SSD (path is C:\) but, as I said, it's full. The Installation manager won't let me switch the directory where Creo has to be installed at (I want it to be in D:\....).Is there a way to change the installation directory?I already tried typing in the path manually, but it didn't help. I also tried running the installation as admin, but also no success.I hope someone can help me
l have been trying to download for nearly a week. l have tried registering with different emails and created new several account with different emails but it still not workking

Hello Team,I'm from Hyderabad,INDIA. learning Creo at Engineers CAD Centre, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, India. How would i know whether they are using genuine software of PTC Creo.?If the had original LICENSE, how could they sell it for 300 INR, for their student. Isnt it a loss to PTC.Kindly let me know.
Hello, I am a member of a rookie FTC team, and this is our very first year in using PTC Creo. Currently we are learning and doing activities from "How to Model Almost Anything." We know how to to put to parts together and the basics to constraining. However the problem is that in excersize of the PDF "How to Model Almost Anything", we were shown an animation of a flying vehicle. We are no. Very sure how it was done , and would like to learn how , since we will eventuall be simlating our robot in the program. Wsend know faintly how to set up a short animation where we manually drag the prices one by one, and taking a snapshot. But we would like to learn of there is a better way, with more parts and constrainting and how it is done to make more complicated simulations. Thank You
Hi,i am a post graduate student at University of Greenwich, UK.How can I acquire a student version of creo?Thank You and Regards
I installed PTC Creo 2.0 Student Edition and tried to start Creo Parametric after installing it. After a while the start window was shown but the program wasn´t starting as well!I already tried to install PTC Creo again and removed licenses manually from Windows ProgramData but it
ok, since this is a (mostly?) english forum, my question in english again...:) Hi,I'm trying to create a student-license for Creo 1.0. I strictly use the instructions at http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo1_student.pdf.When I try to create the License-File under http://www.ptc.com/appserver/lm/programs/licensing_programs_v.jspthe only thing that happens is a reload of the page! Nothing else happens, no E-Mail is sent with the license file. I filled out the form correctly with hostid, serial and the other stuff that is required.I'm trying a week now to get that License-File, would be very happy to get help from you all...Thanks for your help.
