Assembly help

Hello, How do I save a large assembly that has been suppressed? I have a large assemble that takes a long time to load. I will like to work on a single section of the whole assembly so I suppressed irrelevant components/ parts. I save it assembly afterwards and found all the components saved individually all over my desktop. I am new to creo and would appreciate your help.

Creo saves all of the components in an assembly when saved outside the workspace.

 

I think what you want to use is Simplified Reps.  Create a simplified rep of the assembly.  Set config open_simplified_rep_by_default to yes.  When you open the assembly, a dialog will ask you to pick a simplified rep to open, only the shown components in that simplified rep will be loaded.
