Choosing a home computer

My son is loving using CREO at school and has asked for a computer that he can work on at home. He stays late many days in order to work on his designs and printing. The system requirements are posted, but it is all Greek to me. Please - apologize my ignorance - and recommend a laptop or PC that grow with him and this program as he enter college next year. Thank You
