Confused about student license

Hello, I seem to have the issue where Creo 6 does not recognise the licence. I've read a few posts here about it, however looking at the license "sw_license_email_4531216.dat" I received, it doesn't mention version 6 at all, just 4 and 5. Does this mean my university only bought the licence for the older version? I installed v4 and that opened up fine, but it wouldn't open the files I saved at uni, so they must not be compatible.

I'm not sure what version is installed at uni yet as I've only had one lab so far, but will check next time I'm in.

Thanks

Thank you!

For some reason I was following the version 4 pdf with instructions.

That worked with no issues.
