Creo 12 Academic: License file empty (0 KB) despite "Success" status - HostID mismatch/writing issue
Hello,
I am a student trying to install Creo 12 Academic Version. I am encountering a persistent issue during the licensing step:
The Issue: After entering my Product Code (BK...), the installer displays a green "Success" status. However, I cannot proceed, and the generated license file in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing is empty (0 KB).
Technical Details:
Version: Creo 12.0
Host ID: [Available upon request for PTC Staff]
Product Code: BK120908EDUNIVERSITYED
Troubleshooting already done:
Ran the installer as Administrator.
Disabled Windows Firewall and Antivirus.
Verified that the Host ID matches my active network card (other adapters were disabled).
Cleared the Licensing folder and attempted a re-install.
Verified that the "Controlled Folder Access" in Windows is disabled.
Despite the server validation (Success), no data is written into the .dat file. Could you please provide a valid license file or reset the activation for my Host ID?
