Creo 2.0 won't start

I am running the University edition of creo parametric 2.0 and the application will not start at all. I am running it on windows 8 and whenever I click on the desktop icon nothing happens at all. I have tried disabling windows firewall and still nothing works.

My computer has an AMD FX(tm)-6300 3.5GHz Six-core processor, 8GB RAM and has windows 8 pro.

I really need to get it running as soon as possible so any help would be great
