Has Anyone Successfully Upgraded a WF 5.0 Account to Permit License Management?

Years ago, I purchase a WF 5.0 Student license. I tied the license to a USB network adapter, so I could move it to a new computer without having to request another license. This process was performed by a forum moderator.

Recently, my network adapter failed.

I requested the current process for moving a license to a new network card. I was provided with this link: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS20911 

I’m trying to work through this process but keep running into obstacles. (Remember, I’m starting from a PTC Community account and trying to upgrade it to a license management account.)

If you have successfully navigated this process, please DM me so I validate that the errors I’m receiving are typical and not something I need to contact technical support about.

Hello,

 

Sadly there is nothing that support can do to help, as the Wildfire 5.0 was retired back in 2015 and the licensing servers are no longer live.

If you are in education, you can get the new Creo Education edition, for free. In case you are no longer in education, the only free offering that PTC has for makers (home use) is Onshape maker plan.
