help with compatibility

I just changed the student version to the pro version but when i tried to opned a file created in the student version i got :

the file .... was created with an educational version and is not compatible with the version that the host is running

Can someone help me please? , i need the file i created before , is there a way i could convert to the student edition and viceversa?

    You could try saving as an IGES file in Academic and then opening this in Professional.

    but could i save a file in the professional and then open it in the academic?

    Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES). I would think so. I've brought old ProDESKTOP files into Creo2. You may not have full access to all the build commands for modification but image and assembly should be faithful.
