Is it possible to merge two letters created using the text tool in Creo 2 School's Edition into one new solid. The attached jpeg shows two letters which are created as seperate parts and have been assembled so that their undersurfaces are coincident. They have been purposely overlapped laterally.

    Hi Roy,

For information you can also carry out Boolean operations on parts using the Component Operations tools in PTC +Creo. The attached document explains how to make simple moulds using the Cut Out option and Merge works in much the same way.

Thanks for the .pdf Tim. I'm just about to do some casting of Pewter into an MDF mould so this gives me something else to look at in terms of producing a mould.

    Cheers
