Dear Admin,

In PTC Creo, the "Mold Cavity" and "Cast Cavity" option are

not available in the Manufacturing module. I am using the student version of PTC Creo 11.0. Can you please help with issue.

Again, a simple search for this will get you the answer. Typing "creo 11 student editions" in the search bar of my browser brings up results, one of which is the attached PDF listing the different modules available in different levels of Student Edition.

I confirms that, yes, you need to have something better than the standard Student version to have access to the moldbase tools.

We are not your admin, presumably that is someone at your school. This is a discussion forum for users of the software.

In previous versions, from what I could find with a simple search, the standard student edition does not include the mold design stuff. In Creo 9 one needed to have the premium student edition to get the moldbase module.

I don't know if this has changed for Creo 11.

Hi,

I am a user of Creo 11 Student Version and I'm currently learning the software for academic purposes. I have noticed that the "Mold Cavity" and "Cast Cavity" options are not available in the Manufacturing module of the software.

I came across a community response suggesting that in previous versions (e.g., Creo 9), these features were only available in the Premium Student Edition, not the standard one. However, I’m not sure if this limitation still applies in Creo 11.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Whether the Mold Design tools (including Mold Cavity and Cast Cavity) are available in the Creo 11 Student Version?

  2. If not, is there a way for students to access these features?

Looking forward to your help. Thank you in advance.
