No progress from Pending Prerequisite

I am trying to Install CREO 6.0 for Student Access and am running into an issue where it says if is Pending Prerequisites and never progresses. I have tried a clean uninstall and new attempt. I have cleared the Program files and Program Data and Registry of all PTC entries and still nothing. I am lost as to why this will not work. I attempted installing 7.0 and it worked great except for the Student license is no good for that version. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

Hi,

my suggestion ... before you start setup.exe try installing following items from installation package manually.

2017vcredist_x86.exe is missing ... you can download it from Microsoft site and install it, too.
