Pro desktop 8 SP2

Hi at present the school uses pro desktop 2000i one of our students has done his course work in the above version and as such we cant open it in school without installing the above version.

Question is this software still available and what are the license issues, can we still install the student version for free?

    Pro/D 8 is discontinued and replaced by Creo (Pro/E). Your student should be able to export in IGES or STEP formats which you can open in 2000i2 to view the model (but not edit).

    It's possible to open Pro/D files in other PTC software but you cannot edit the model.

    You can still install it if you have the original CD.

    Pro/DESKTOP has ben replaced by Creo Parametric and is still free to schools. See http://www.ptc.com/company/community/schools/
