Student install not working.

I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.0.0

I have a student  who is installing the student edition of Creo 8. He has followed the installation instructions from here - https://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo8_unistudent_standard.pdf. When he creates the locked license, it says success, but then the status says invalid file and he does not get the option to finish.
We also tried saving the license he received from the email and uploading that, but that didn't work either.
We've already checked the physical address, and that matches.

Here are the errors that I faced
Invalid file

Based on your suggestion, we opened the license file in notepad and found it to be empty.  Not sure why or how, but eventually an uninstall, reinstall worked.  There were also 4 license files in the folder - so we cleared those out.

Hi,

YES, clearing C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory before starting installation is very important. See step 2. in https://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo8_unistudent_standard.pdf document.

 Hi,

There was a similar question before, here - "Creo 8 student License invalid or format": https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Education-Forum/Creo-8-student-License-invalid-or-format/m-p/758895

I understand.  We'd already reviewed those.  The physical address is the same.

Hi,

if you upload license file and output of ipconfig /all command then I can check this information for you.
