Stuttering and Lag in Creo 4.0 M020 Academic Edition

Hi! I recently updated my desktop to Creo 4.0 to test it out ahead of our FTC teams adopting it, and I'm noticing some major stuttering and lag, particularly around the measuring tool, when I have relatively complex models open. This wasn't present in Creo 3.0, and while it's still functional like this, it is very irritating. Does anyone have advice for alleviating this?

Also want to say I'm a little disappointed that rendering now requires a special license-- in my opinion creating cool renders of their work is a great way to get students interested in CAD.

Best,

Nick

Hi,

stuttering and lag can be cause by incompatible graphic drivers:

1.] add following option at the end of config.pro file temporarily and test Creo 4.0 again

graphics win32_gdi

2.] if stuttering and lag disappears then you have to update graphic drivers

Photorender problem is discussed in:

That really just caused it to lag even harder... thank you for trying to help though!
