Trouble working in Pro E

I tried opening some of the parts I worked on at school on my new downloaded student version, but everytime I try opening them the ProE simply closes. Also, I tried creating a new part and after I grabbed placement (during extrusion) and it wont switch to the black screen so that I can begin. Help please!

    Shannon, This sounds like it could be a graphics card problem. I have two suggestions: 1) You can see if it the graphics card by adding the attached config.pro file to your startup folder (typically My Documents). The option in the file will cause Pro/E to run without your graphics card. 2) If #1 above works, then you should try updating your the drivers for your graphics card. Then remove the config.pro file and see how it works. Let us know if this helps. Thanks, Adam
