Upgrading To Creo Parametric 3.0

We are FTC team #8521, and we have just finished our season. Now we would like to upgrade to Creo Parametric 3.0 from Creo 2.0. We just have a few questions.

  1. If we upgrade to Creo 3.0, can we access and load Creo 2.0 files? Also, can we view Creo 3.0 files in Creo 2.0 if necessary?
  2. Can we keep both Creo 3.0 and 2.0 on our computers? Would we have to switch back in forth, or is it possible to run 2.0 and 3.0 in parallel?
  3. Is there anything special that needs to be done to connect Creo 3.0 to Windchill? Or are we able to use the same process to connect?

      YES.
      Also, can we view Creo 3.0 files in Creo 2.0 if necessary?
      NO, CREO IS NEVER BACKWARD COMPATIBLE.

      YES, IF DESIRED, YOU CAN KEEP BOTH VERSIONS INSTALLED. THEY WILL REQUIRE UNIQUE LIECENCES SINCE THEY ARE NOT CROSS COMPATIBLE.
    3. Is there anything special that needs to be done to connect Creo 3.0 to Windchill? Or are we able to use the same process to connect?
      SAME PROCESS.

    It is the same process. If you have already registred Windchill with Creo 2.0, it will show up after you start Creo 3.0.
