PTC Creo Parametric: ECAD-MCAD Collaboration: Overview of the IDX Process

The presenter introduces the IDX method of exchanging ECAD-MCAD data between PTC Creo Parametric and partner ECAD solutions (in our case, Zuken).  The IDX incremental method of exchanging data is compared to the legacy IDF all-or-nothing method (still widely used in industry).   The presentation focuses primarily on the process and tasks mechanical designs using PTC Creo Parametric interface from concept to final design of a PCB by using the IDX method of exchanging design information.  Attendees are also introduced to the PTC Creo View ECAD - Validate and Compare applications, and how they interact with the Creo Parametric - ECAD-Collaboration floating module.
