Time for a fire in the wood stove tonight. It's getting to be that time of year. Beside when you're outside, it just smells so nice. Have a terrific weekend.

 

 

I hate it when engineering students call themselves engineers.
I don't see medical students calling themselves doctors or history students calling themselves unemployed.

    It is still early for the wood stove here (during the day we are around 22-23 degrees celsius, but next week we should reach 25 with lows above 10 degrees).

     

    In compensation, this weekend (and already last weekend) we will use the wood to bake roasted chestnuts.

    Sunday afternoon I am on baking duty as well

    The jury is strictly composed only of non-residents of the hill town where we have been having the festival for almost 50 years (restarted this year from the previous one in 2019)

      Certainly.
      It is in memory of a lady, very good as a cook, who was part of the kitchen group and who passed away the year the picture was taken.

      Those who made that cake wanted to remember her with that inscription.
