Won free lawn service at our home and garden show this year.... mowing for the 3rd time already here in Michigan this afternoon.

    3rd time ehhhh?!?!   Likely tomorrow I will mow for the 3rd time this week! I've been a nut about my lawn this year. Trying to make it spectacular!

    Remember, I am in Michigan, not Texas....

    Sometimes the snow is barely off the ground in April...

     

    The lawn service printout ticket said that my grass was "still dormant".

      We had white stuff on the ground about a month ago...I never understand how you northerners go try to catch it on your tongue...it hurts like heck!!!!!

      Third time???  I have only mowed once here in eastern Iowa.  Granted I like to let it get tall before the first cut and I very rarely feed it.  Fertilizer just makes more work - you have to apply it, then mow twice as often.

      There is always more to learn.
