Roses are red,

violets are blue,

I think I forgot

That this poem should rhyme.

Roses are red,

At my poem you scoff,

I may have got the rhyme part right this time,

But the meter’s just a tad bit off.

Roses are red

The third time’s the charm.

Don’t worry! There isn’t

A cause for alarm.

Violets are blue,

Water is clear,

Of course I can’t rhyme,

I’m just an enjinear!
