    It is still warm enough, here, to be close to the beginning of autumn, but the early varieties of typical fruits are already being harvested.

        We have (3) apple trees in our front yard and in September, the squirrels raided our trees and extracted all of the apples.

        There are no apples below about 4 feet on my tree.  The local deer have seen to that.  They will stand on their hind legs to reach up as high as they can.
