This is such an obvious topic I was surprised by the lack of information in the Styler manual, help files and on-line. It seems like a really obvious topic to me, but I could only find a single reference to counting the sheets and/or graphics of a figure in the Arbortext help file documentation. "Counting Sheets of a Figure in Styler" which is basically a FOSI topic, and "Coding FOSI support for sheet count". Is there an equivalent topic showing how counting sheets and/or graphics can be done within Styler itself? Ideally, the styling should be able to recognize when there are multiple graphics/sheets in a figure and output the Figure number, title, followed by (Sheet 1 of n), thus if there are multiple sheets/graphics in a figure it should output something like "Figure 1. Name of Figure (Sheet 1 of 5)".

Hi,Basically I just want to know whether anyone has created an Import Map Template to import MS Word files into Editor S1000D modules? Is it possible and how difficult is it when compared to creating a map template for Docbook?Thanks!

I'm facing a problem in one of my XUI windows when I try to load a file from a certain directory; my dialogue is a loading file window and the idea is to load the file from a directory specified by a path loaded with a 'Browse..' button, the problem I'm having is that every time I load certain paths I receive the "[A11316] Unexpected argument error"; I could see this only happens when the directory contains a blank space in the name of any of the directories including in it.I hope anyone could explain me alittle more about this A11316 error so I could handle it.Paulette 🙂

Hi,I am working on a Styler stylesheet and I noticed that my HTML output has very narrow columns for the tables, when I checked them I noticed that the value for width is set to px. In the source it was set to picas.Arbortext Editor XML:<tgroup cols="3"><colspec colname="col1" colwidth="12.80pi"/"><colspec colname="col2" colwidth="12.00pi"/"><colspec colname="col3" colwidth="13.00pi"/">Styler HTML Output: <colgroup> <col style="width:" 12.8px;=" "="> <col style="width:" 12px;=" "="> <col style="width:" 13px;=" "="> </colgroup>Obviously, this conversion of units is way off. I am hoping there is a fix for this issue in Styler. Any ideas?Many thanks,Greg🙂

Hello there,I would like to know the way to resize images in XML document by using Arbortext Styler.Although I know the way to adjust the size of images in Arbortext Editor with attributes (width, height etc...), I am not keen to use this way.The images are too big in the document at the moment, so I would like to make them look small through a stylesheet.Could you give me any tips please?Thanks a lot.Tomomi

I have a question regarding the sequence of numbering in Styler. I have a description Data Module to which I have added Division to levelledPara. I styled figure as a Formal Block. Problem 1: With each division the figures base numbering restarts at 1; I would simply like the numbering to run continuously throughout the document. At the moment, due to this, I have added the previous division number to the gentext, thus Figure 3-1, Figure 4-1... I would like to do without this.Problem 2: In the case of foldouts the numbering does not continue, it restarts, so I currently have Figure 1 (which is not a foldout), followed by a foldout Figure 1. The foldout element seems to be interfering with the base numbering.Any suggestions?

Hi Adepters,I have a strange behaviour with Epic 4.3.With this DTD :It does consider that <doc><intro>stuff</intro></doc> is not valide./doc [A11155] final tag encountered. Need to import Framemaker files into arbortext. Would like to know which approach will be suitable. Data received is .fm and .book files of Framemaker.

I am trying to apply style to title which is located at bookmap-> chapter->topic->title. But the style which i am applying is not reflected on the topic title. Can anyone tell me where should i make changes so that title changes.This title only changes if i use title in chapter. But if i use title in chapter to style title element my compound page numbering doesnt work. So please help me on this.

Hello,We are on a project and there is a customer requirement about watermarks on printed pdf files.Is it possible to have print outs with watermarks of a pdf document? The electronic form of pdf should not contain any watermarks. Is there a setting on Publish Engine or dita files regarding this requirement.Thanks,Andac

I have a foldout pageset in 5.4 Stylerthat is currently width="17in" and nomdepth="11in". I need to change it to 25.5in wide, but when I add even 1 inch to the width the text and graphics change their orientation on the page. All I did for testing purposes was add 1in to the rectopg/versopg width and the width of the 1 column flowtexts.

Hi, I may need to import some docs that are written with MS Word to Arbortext Editor in a short future.The Arbortext Editor we use is a customized version based on Arbortext Editor 5.3. There's no import/export function with the editor. Instead, there's Import Text File function.I have tried to save one doc as .txt and then use the Import Text File function but that didn't give me much help. It feels like a copy-paste function.Could you guys give me suggestions about how to make the conversion more efficient or perform an automatic conversion if possible?Thanks very much!

I have developed an Import Map Template (MS Word to XML) which does not pick up any lists within tables from the source document. All other lists are correctly recognized. To remedy this issue, I set the "include lists" option in "initial preprocessing options" to true. This resulted in lists within tables being correctly recognized by the Map Template Editor, however when using the Map Template to import the Word file into Arbortext Editor, all lists now restart after every list item.For example, where you would normally have 10 listitems within an bulleted list, there are now 10 bulleted lists with one listitem each. This error occurs in all lists. I've included screengrabs of how it looks in the source file pane, and then the results in Arbortext Editor. So in summary: For the Map Template to pick up lists within tables, I enabled "include lists". However, now all lists refuse to have more than one listitem.Any advice on how to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,I am issuing the following command:tag_display -local -iconFrom both the command line and from within an ACL looping over content andchoosing specific oids.The element is collapsed and represented by the barbell icon 100% of thetime when I issue this command from the command line with my cursor in thetag.When issued from the ACL, the command works as expected unless the tag inquestion has child elements.For example:<para>Blah blah blah.</para>Is always iconized.<para>Blah blah blah <bold>BLAH</bold>.</para>Is only iconized from the command line. It is NOT iconized from the ACL.Anyone seen this behavior before? Is it "as designed" or is it a bug ofsome sort do ya think?-- Paul Nagai
