F1 key cannot be used as mapkey initiator, because it is reserved for launching a help. You cannot change this default behaviour of Creo Parametric 2.0.

thank you . but pro 5, 4, 3 could do that. why proe change to bad. I am so annoyed. you know F1 key is really convienent for a maykey.

Isn't F1 key reserved for help more of a "certified for windows" requirement? Perhaps that's why.

I agree, that is bad. I have had $F1 as datums on/off since '98. Thanks PTC!

Is there a way around this?

Why don't they try to fix the "searching by caps" issue instead of breaking things that work?
