Activation issue - Creo Parametric student

I am using a Mac and have just installed Windows 7 using Bootcamp (solely for CAD). I have downloaded and installed Creo Parametric for students but when I open it I receive an error about activation. I click OK and the application quits. Any ideas on what is going on? I have also installed Inventor with the student license and it is doing a very similar thing, in case that is relevant.

Sam,

Creo Parametric cannot find license file mentioned in error message. Did you try to look into the directory mentioned in error message ?

I guess that you went to http://www.ptc.com/company/community/download page, clicked I am a College/University Student, entered requested info into displayed form and press Submit button.

Did you follow instructions from email you received after registration ?
