Question

Cannot access files that were checked out by users that no longer exist.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 3.0 and DatecodeM110

Users coming across files that are checked out by individuals that no longer work here.
He attempted to undo their check out but was unable to release it.

Can wcadmin release those files?
Is there a way to find such files that were checked out since 2019?

What version of Windchill are you running? The version of Creo is irrelevant.

The wcadmin has 2 options. If the system is using WindchillDS, they can log in as that user and either undo the checkout or check the files in. As wcadmin, they can undo the checkout and delete the user's workspace.

    Hi BenLoosli,

     

    Thanks for helping and sorry for the late response.

    Our Windchill version is 11.0 M020-CPS04.

    We decide to get a third party help as we are running into other issues.

    Did you remove the old users from Windchill or just mark them as no longer being there?

    Users should never be deleted from Windchill as a best practice.
