Question

Contacts of parts and the tolernace in an assembly in Live Simulate

I am using Creo Live Simulate

I've designed a spring and as a stand alone part has a stiffness of 56N/mm according to Creo Live Simulation. I have created an assembly with 2 of these springs in parallel on a mass of 8.4kg. I expect to get a natural frequency of about 18.4Hz, but creo simulate live is giving me a result of about 173Hz. It appears to be looking at higher order resonant frequencies and not seeing the 1st mode natural frequency.
I'm wondering if this has something to do with the contacts (bonded) between parts in the assembly? What is the significance of the tolerance value in this context?
I'm starting to lose confidence in the reliability of the software.

Visualize the mode shape for the 173 Hz result. What result it show for you?

    Hi Vladimir,

It shows the whole supporting structure moving, rather than the less stiff spring itself. I think it must be an issue with contacts but i can't see where the problem is. Maybe i need to simplify the assembly much more. It has 16 parts, 2 of which are springs

Can someone share a link to use of the contacts? I'm fairly sure the problem relates to this
