Creo 3.0 fails at startup.

I just installed the student edition Creo Parametric 3.0 M040 and when i try to start the program from the desktop. it immediately comes up with the dialogue box saying," A problem caused the program to stop working correctly . Please close the program." I already tried reinstalling. I am running 64bit windows 10.

Windows 10 is not supported.

why does it run on my windows 10 laptop though. both run 64 bit version?

Creo Parametric 3.0 can run on Windows 10. The problem is that it is not supported and therefore you cannot ask PTC Support for a help .

I tried to install PTC Creo on windows XP , it did not work at all . It said "incompatible version"

Creo 3.0 is not supported on Windows XP. This operating system has reached its end of life.
