Creo 8.0.3.0 Student Edition – License Generation Failed (AKAD University)

Hello PTC Community,

I am a student at AKAD University in Germany, and I am trying to install and activate PTC Creo Parametric 8.0.3.0 Student Edition for my CAD course.

The software installation was completed successfully, but I cannot generate or activate the student license.

I am using the product code provided in the official university installation instructions:

BK800908EDSTUDENTEDUNI

When I try to generate a Node-Locked License, I receive the following error:

"The product(s) you are trying to install using this Product code are either already installed or do not exist on this Product Code. Please contact PTC License Management team with case number ..."

Here is what I have already checked:

  • My PTC Academic Account has been created and verified.

  • Creo 8.0.3.0 is installed successfully.

  • I have tried reconfiguring the existing installation as administrator.

  • The PTC Host ID matches my computer's physical network adapter.

  • The folder C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing does not exist.

  • No license file (.dat) has been generated or received by email.

  • The Windows administrator account has full permissions for C:\ProgramData\PTC.

The PTC License Management website also displays an "Access Denied / Insufficient Permissions" message when I try to access it.

My questions are:

  1. Is the academic product code still valid for Creo 8.0.3.0?

  2. Could this error be caused by a licensing restriction or a previous activation attempt?

  3. Is there a way to generate the license manually or reset the activation?

I would appreciate any assistance, as I need Creo for my university coursework.

Thank you very much for your help!
