Question

Creo 9.0 won't start on my Microsoft Surface laptop

Hello everybody

I just installed Creo 9.0 on my computer. The installation didn't end well since I have a message saying the installation of virtual c++ redistribuables failed.

I could not find the reason why.

So I installed directly the visual ++ package, from Microsoft site, and it wen't well.

But as I try to launch Creo 9 parametrics 9.0.0.0, with the shortcut that appeared on my desktop, the hourglass briefly changes and return to its normal aspect, and nothing happens : Creo won't start.

Could anyone tell me if you see any solution, or even a log file to look into to understand what happens ?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

you can use Creo on computers with Intel/AMD processors. Is it your case?

Hi MartinHanak,

Unfortunlatey not. Running Snapdragon CPU...

Could this be the explanation of not starting without any message ?

Hi,

yes, it is the explanation of not starting without any message. Snapdragon CPU is not supported. Please read following document.

Some time back it looks like someone successfully ran it. I doubt it would be useful for anything but the simplest stuff.
