You could export the files as 3D PDF and you might be able to. Can you run PVExpress on Android?

There is a Creo View app for Apple devices (iPad, IpHone)

    Not available on Android.

You need to export your 3D model in any neutral format for further opening. Here is a list of 3D viewers for Android: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=3D+viewer&c=apps

Unfortunately, the PTC is not like dassoult.

PTC us users are forced to export the file in E -Drawings

since E- drawing is also for ANDROID

if it continues to spend SOLIDWORKS.....

    Update For What It's Worth:

I have been playing around for a while now. Perhaps it's just as good we have Android, and no PTC support. I found an iPhone, and downloaded the iPhone app... and it's not what I was hoping for. It does not seem to connect to windchill, you have to sync the files with iTunes (yeek), or email them to yourself / download otherwise.

On the other hand, Windchill 9.1 appears to be fully compatible with my versions of Chrome for Android. I can log into the internal wireless network at the office, throughout the campus. Using the free Adobe Reader app, I can download all of our stored specifications and documents, and view them on my tablet and cell phone. I am able to access all basic server maintenance functionality, like restarting publishers, check status, look at publish monitor, etc. With the addition of AndroZip (paid app) I can "download representation" unzip, and access all released and published CAD (Engineering) Drawings, which is very helpful for Quality, Mfg, and others. For our STEP files, with the addition of a paid STEP file viewer, I can download our incoming and outgoing data exchange files on my tablet, and view them in 3D. Tasks can be completed, drawings reviewed (with some work and training) etc. just using android with some 3rd party apps.

The only thing that cannot be done as of now is view the 3D published CAD document. If PTC would create a SIMPLE viewer to view the pvs files that I can also download locally, everything would be shiny.

Any new information on Android apps for Creo View/Sketch?

The only android app I can find in PLAY STORE is for use by PTC employees only.  I guess that PTC is so accustomed to being slow and running behind everyone else that they only made the ‘public use’ APP for the slower processor phone – the Iphone.   I suggest that PTC take a new approach – work with a motivated, relatively new guy on the block – GRABCAD.  Grabcad seems to me to be an innovator in getting things done, in a way that many people agree is helpful and informative to the engineering community.

    Hi all,

If the desire is to simply view the 3D model, you can publish the model using AR Design Share, and then the model can be viewed at lifesize scale on your phone/tablet in the real world. This works on most major Android devices (as well as iPhones/iPads). Hopefully that's helpful

    Hi Luke
"Simply" is the correct word ! (and not part of PTC world)
I don't want an AR, don't want to have a printed target ... these are smart tools, great ! But why can't it be more simple ?
What CreoView make for my partners works fine on their computer, even smarter on their MS Surface tab. It's simple and efficient, they dont need target, don't play with AR, but it's powerfull to discuss arounf a model.
Why can't we just have it on Android ?!!

    Hi Pierre,

There's no longer a need to print out a target to view the model in AR (though that is still an option). Using a spatial target, the tablet can simply scan the floor or desk and place the object full size. The tablet just needs to scan the QR code and it will launch the experience.

In fact, a major part of the value of AR Design Share in Creo is to make it as simple as possible to view/share models. No software downloads (okay, the Vuforia View app has to be downloaded on the device, but no licensing details to worry about), no data exports, or anything. Just simply publish the model from directly within Creo, and scan the QR code on your tablet and view the model. Certainly, there are other capabilities in something like Creo View that could be useful in such a tool, but for basic viewing purposes, I would argue that AR Design Share is far simpler than any other option.
