Creo open in a minimized state & drawing has blank sidebar

OK, a weird one..

2 issues:

1st issue is that my Creo 9 has decided to open in a minimized state.  Nothing changed on my end, except a recent windows update.  Now I get a very small Creo window, when I used to get an almost maximized window.  all settings are as they were the week before

2nd issue is that when I open a drawing, I get a blank sidebar, a 2nd blank ‘model tree’.  There is nothing in it, and no top bar to close or anything.  it’s just a blank ‘sidebar.  And it covers content.. And it’s only with .DRW files..

The work-around is to close Creo, then restart it / open it again.  Creo then starts up in a nearly full window, and teh blank sidebar is gone.

any ideas?
