Error when installing student edition PTC Creo

I have recently switched hard drives and did a clean install of windows on my new one. I had creo 3.0 installed on my old drive and could not figure out a way to get it to my new drive without just reinstalling it all together.

 

When I download the student creo 3.0 from the website and use the license key provided in the instructions, I get an error and it does not accept the key. Can someone please give me an idea or a solution? I use this program regularly and my new hard drive is useless until I can get this to run.

Brandon,

can you still access old hard drive ? If this is true then:

  • go to old Creo installation
  • in Parametric\bin directory there is parametric.psf file
  • inside parametric.psf file you will find the path to license file
  • you can copy parametric.psf and license file to new hard drive in the same locations and run Creo

Download on the WEB: PTC Academic Program > Download PTC Creo Student Edition

1. Select one of the options

2. Finish required form, click Submit

3. Download Installation Instructions which contains download URL and installation guide

4. Download and install student edition base on guidance in Installation Instructions
