Hello

I was trying to move license from one server to another. Using following link.

https://support.ptc.com/apps/licensePortal/auth/ssl/advsearch

My current Host ID and Host Name are same (this is what we have followed)

1

Now in the link, I am unable to add Host Name as xx-xx-xx-xx-xx etc.

It is taking alphanumeric without "-" in between whole string.

2

Is it ok to have Host Name different from Host ID?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Hi,

00-ZZ-AA-AA-AA-AA is not valid HOST-ID. All characters must be hexadecimal digits (0 to F). Hostname can be arbitrary.

After entering valid HOST-ID I tested entering new Hostname. You are right ... control mechanism implemented on web page does not allow to enter HOST-ID followed by text.

It seems to me that following page allows you to set Hostname according your needs.
