Intralink 3.4 Checking Out Issue

I am trying to check out an old file. When I do I get a family table version conflict in the checkout window. I'm logged in as an adminitsrator, but I don't see anyway to over ride this conflict. Or even how to resolve the conflict. Please help!

Try checking out the generic in the "As Stored" state and include all instances. Once everything's in your workspaces, look at the compare/commonspace status and see if anything is out-of-date. This will be your "problemed child".
