M060 Update

Running into problems updating Creo from M010 to M060. We have a floating license and ran the update successfully. Creo still sees itself as M010. Should we have installed as a new installation? (We updated the installation on my computer).

I typically uninstall everything except the license manager manually with Windows. Perform a new install. Move my custom files to their respective directories; update all the desktop shortcuts to the new install location including remapping the icons. Seems to be the only reliable method.

Be careful about custom files in the Creo install folder. They will be lost.

Thanks. I backed up all the config and drawing setup files I could find earlier. I should be okay I hope.

This might make good practice for you... M070 should be out today. ...or at least in the next few days. I'm actually looking forward to loading M070 sinced I've been on M040 for a while now.
