Missing trail files...

Okay, here is a new one on me..

 

We can't find the Creo trail files for one of my co-workers.  She doesn't have the trail_dir option set, so they should be in the startup directory, only they are not there.   Any ideas?

Ah HA!   The company config.pro has the trail_dir pointed to C:\TEMP

I swear, well I swear more than I should, but I thought I checked that...   hmmm.

Are you running any type of cleanup script or routine that may be deleting them?  Maybe check other places like My Documents and the "Home Drive".

    Check the startup icon of Creo.  Check the Start In directory if the trail files are there.

    You can also check in <install dir>\Creo 2.0\Parametric\bin.  Not sure the path for Creo 3.

      ...assuming you're running windows....

      It may reside here.

      open a Windows Explorer

      in the address box type:

      %appdata%\PTC

      you can then enter a search for "trail"

      If there is anything, it should show up.
